Natasha Richardson heads the starry cast of this superb, award-winning mini-series as Ruth Gruber, the heroine who helped to escort 1,000 Jewish war victims to freedom and a new life in the United States. Gruber proved that one woman really can change the world: not only did she have the courage to defy the Nazis, but she also fought for the rights of the war victims when they encountered prejudice from both the US government and the American people.  Anne Bancroft (who was Emmy® Award nominated), Martin Landau, William Petersen, Colm Feore, Bruce Greenwood, Henry Czerny and Hal Holbrook complete the impressive leading cast line-up.
